In a country that prides itself on the swimming pool industry, Dubai is perhaps the world’s most popular swimming destination.
And with its wealth of swimmers, the city of more than a million people has earned the title of number one in the list of top 10 swimming pools.
But it has been no secret that the city’s swimming pools are in need of upgrades, and many are currently closed due to the Zika virus outbreak.
So what is the top swimming pool in Dubai?CNN looked at the 10 best swimmers in the country and ranked them from most to least popular.
Alaglas Dubai, UAE: The Alagas swimming pool is the second largest swimming pool at 1,500 meters (5,300 feet), and it is one of the oldest in the UAE.
Algas is located on the edge of the Al-Ummah area in the city, and is known for its sandy beaches.2.
Al-Ahli Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Al-Ahlili is located in the heart of the city and is the largest indoor swimming pool of the country, boasting more than 40 meters (160 feet) of water, and a capacity of 3,000 people.3.
Al Aqsa Beach Club Dubai, Dubai: The club is a popular destination for the Dubai-based Islamic family, and it features a large swimming pool.4.
Al Maktoum Pool, Qatar: Al Makkah is the holiest site in Islam, and the pool at Al Makkhah is considered the holy of holies.5.
Al Naseem Pool, Dubai, Emirate of Dubai: A popular destination in Dubai, the pool is located just a few minutes walk from the Al Nabi Saleh Mosque.6.
Al Khaleej Pool, United Kingdom: Al Khameej is a small pool in the northern portion of the island of Al Khaleda.7.
Al Rafiq Pool, Kuwait: Located in the Gulf, the Al Rifaq Pool has an area of 4,500 square meters (22,000 square feet).8.

Al Qaala Pool, Saudi Arabia: Located on the coast of the Red Sea, the swimming facility is one kilometer (1.3 miles) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has an indoor capacity of 300 people.
