The number one swimming pool in the United States, the Newport Beach, Calif., Newport Aquatic Center, is considered a “swimming hotspot” for tourists.
But a recent survey by the Association of American Medical Colleges found that the average age of a physician who visits the facility is 76 years old, with about half of them suffering from diabetes.
So, how safe is a swimming pool for the average patient?
The AAMC surveyed more than 1,300 people between March and April 2018.
The survey found that nearly 80 percent of respondents had experienced some form of stress during their lifetime, and that the majority had experienced a traumatic event that affected their health, such as being diagnosed with cancer, having a stroke, or having a heart attack.
The most common stressor was an event that had a lasting impact on their health or well-being.
About 25 percent of the participants had experienced mental health issues that were related to the stressors.
The other 25 percent had experienced substance abuse, such in alcohol or drug use.
Nearly three-quarters of the pool visitors were male, with many of them being retirees or those in their 70s.
The majority of the respondents were male (80 percent), with a significant minority being women (17 percent), and the remainder being children (5 percent).
In some areas, the pool is a popular destination for adults.
In North Carolina, Newport is the most popular location for people to swim, according to the AAMCO survey.
The Newport Aquatics Center, which opened in 1965, is one of the oldest swimming pools in the country.
In 2020, the facility was rated the number one destination for visitors by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
However, the survey found the facility does not have a swimming center that is safe for all age groups.
More than one-third of the survey participants were 65 years old or older, with more than half of those individuals having suffered from stress-related health issues during their lives.
The pool also offers recreational swim lessons, including a series called “Mama and Papa’s Pool.”
Many pool owners also offer educational programs for people who want to learn about health and wellness.
The Aquatic Institute of New York has created a program called the “Diet for Life” for people of all ages to learn more about their health and their role in the world.
The program teaches people how to consume a variety of healthy foods and offers a variety activities, including swim lessons and swim classes.
But the majority of participants said they do not enjoy the program and the AAMIC survey also found that many people do not feel that the swimming pool is safe.
About a third of respondents said they have had a traumatic incident in their lifetime that affected them negatively, and only 11 percent said they had not experienced any stress related to their health.
The last survey of people in their 20s and 30s found that more than one in four respondents had been diagnosed with diabetes.
About 12 percent of participants also had an asthma attack or had a stroke.
