A Florida man was arrested for allegedly shooting a pool in his backyard and then fleeing on foot, police said.
Jamal Harris, 21, was taken into custody Saturday evening after he was spotted in a surveillance video from the Florida Keys.
He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery on a law enforcement officer, false imprisonment, resisting arrest and aggravated battery on an officer, police spokesman Officer Aaron Cox said.
A witness said Harris was seen in the surveillance video walking down the driveway of his home in the 700 block of Pinells Road and firing a gun.
Police were called to the home shortly after 3 p.m.
Saturday after a woman reported hearing gunfire, Cox said in a statement.
The woman called 911 and a police officer responded.
Harris was arrested about an hour later, Cox added.
Police say he was seen running down the street in his own vehicle, holding a shotgun and pointing it at police.
Cox said Harris faces multiple charges including attempted aggravated battery, aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon.
The Pinelles County Sheriff’s Office says Harris was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
