Authorities in Texas are investigating reports that at least two swimming pools in Houston have been contaminated with dangerous levels of lead.
Authorities with the Texas Department of Public Health confirmed that the two pools are located at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino.
Officials said in a statement that water tests showed the water at both pools to be above the state’s standards.
It is not clear if any of the water has been contaminated by lead.
The department said in the statement that the city has been testing the water and “have found no evidence of lead in the water.”
The hotel and casino did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Hyatt Hotel and Convention Center was also not immediately available for comment on the latest development.
